Stormy v0.2 - Bug Fixes

Hi all,

Thanks to all those that have let me know about some bugs in the first version of the Stormy indicator in the latest version of Metatrader. It was brought to my attention that the inputs were not available when people LiveUpdated their metatrader as well as some other display bugs.

I have worked on those tonight and have released a new version for anyone who wants it that has ironed out those bugs. This version also includes a very early attempt at adding some directional signals. Be warned though that the signals tend to be more reliable the longer the timeframe and they are still very much in development, I tend to use it on a 1H or 4H chart but each to their own, and still hold true that no mathematical formula will be as effective as a well trained eye and brain.

I have had plenty of people letting me know that they are testing the Stormy and developing different trading strategies based around it, I would love to hear them, as I am sure would other readers, so I have created a thread at http://www.forex-tsd.com/showthread.php?t=793 for you all to add your thoughts and trading systems based on the Stormy. Best of luck!

Happy trading!

P.S. You will note I have added my contact details to the right hand menu, if you have any questions, please feel free to throw me an email, msn or yahoo message. Of course with a young child, there will be times I won't be able to answer messages, but I will do my best to answer all emails.

Here is a great explanation for installation from Sherz at the forex-tsd forum. Thanks a bunch mate :)

If you are using MetaTrader 4 (MT4) make sure MT4 has the latest build (version 4, build 188).

Go to the file where you extracted Akuma 99 Storm Clouds. Copy the Akuma99 Storm Clouds v0-2.ex4 file by right clicking on the file and selecting "copy".

Navigate your way to the following folder on your hard drive:
C:\Program Files\Metatrader 4\experts\indicators

Once you are inside the indicators folder, right click on any white space area and choose "paste" from the menu. This will place the Akuma99 Storm Clouds v0-2.ex4 indicator in that folder and you should see it there. If it is not there, then you have done something wrong and you need to follow the above steps again.

Once the Akuma99 Storm Clouds v0-2.ex4 file is in the indicators folder, open MT4 platform, if it was already open before hand you may need to close and reopen your MT4 platform.

Inside MT4, you will find the "Navigator" window on the left hand column.
Under that, you will see the "Custom Indicators" list. Under "Custom Indicators", you will find the Akuma 99 Storm Clouds indicator listed.

Drag Akuma 99 Storm Clouds indicator from the list, to a chart of your choice and you should see the relevant bars and lines appear on the chart. If you do not see the bars & lines, you have missed an action or installed it incorrectly. Please check the above instructions and try again

On the other hand, if the Navigator window is not on the left had column of the MT4 screen you can also go through the toolbar.

On the toolbar click on “Insert”, scroll down and highlight “Indicators”, another box will open, scroll down to and highlight “Custom”, at that point you should see ”Akuma 99 Storm Clouds”. Click on Akuma 99 Storm Clouds and a box will appear, click “ok” and you should see the relevant bars and lines appear.

If you do not see Akuma 99 Storm Clouds in Custom Indicators, you have missed an action or installed it incorrectly. Please check the above instructions and try again.

Please note a known bug in the latest build of MT4 (188) and custom indicators, you can find details on it here:
