Stormy v0.1a Released!

Hi all,

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and are gearing up for a bright and happy New Year. Due to excessive Christmas Pudding consumption, I have done very little work on the Stormy indicator over the last few days, however, as a Christmas gift, I have decided to make the early version of Stormy available to you all to play around with.

This version of Stormy is the version before I started working on the direction signals, so that feature is not available just yet, however the clouds are as they will be in the final version, so you can see how the price reacts to them, and how the clouds react to price, and work out how you think it is best to trade them. I have one request only on releasing this version :) that you let myself and all your fellow readers know of any methods you discover in trading the clouds, you can do that either my commenting on any of the posts, or sending me an email at akuma_me@yahoo.com. I can then group the responses together and publish them here for us all to learn off. If anyone starts a forum thread anywhere please let me know :)

The indicator has been programmed for Metatrader 4, which can be downloaded for free here, be sure to download the Client terminal, not the Data center. Once downloaded and installed, download the Stormy indicator through the link at the bottom of the post and do the following:
  • Extract the zip file to your hard drive
  • Copy/Move the Akuma99 Storm Clouds.ex4 file to the following location:
    • C:/Program Files/MetaTrader/experts/indicators
  • Restart Metatrader if it is already open
  • Drag and drop the indicator from the Custom Indicators area in MT4 to the main window
Good luck with it, I will be sure to keep you updated on the progress of the directional signals, and also the complimentary Rain Drops indicator that is in development. Best of luck!

Happy trading!

I tested and see that clouds used as dynamic support and resistance but I still find hard to determine whether the market is trending or ranging. Thanks for good work. :-)

Yes that can always be a challenge, and is something I am working on now with the directional signals.
