New Site a Day Away

Hi all!

Hope you all had a great weekend :) and rested the brain for a busy week.

Thanks to a band of fantastic beta testers, the new site is almost upon us. I anticipate it to launch tomorrow unless something else springs up at the last minute, but, just to give you an insight in what is coming up and what has kept me away from the markets, this blog and the alert service over the last week, here is a small list of some of the things you will see:

  • Brand new articles from various authors, not just me anymore, makes for some very interesting reading.
  • Authors who get more than 20 articles published will have their own email address provided if they want it (e.g. joeblogs@newsite.com), while stocks last.
  • Instant article ratings, letting the authors know how well there article has been received, and letting readers give instant feedback.
  • Article submission available for all members! You can become a published author, all free members can submit articles for approval including images straight from their control panel in the site!
  • All theory and soapbox articles that are at this blog, as well as their comments have been ported to the new site.
  • New and archived reader polls for all to give their opinions.
  • Brand spanking new "Trading rooms", which is a live chat application from http://www.userpane.com, where you can chat via audio, video or text live as it happens on the markets! You can even create your own room! (User created rooms will time out and automatically expire after a period without activity.)
  • New online forum will be available covering a host of topics, as well as providing somewhere to post your charts when talking in the trading rooms
  • New members only articles, content and downloads will be available as we get up and running, membership will of course be free.
  • New e-book library, allowing you to read, and print from within the website itself, I think you'll like it.
  • Brand new navigation structure, allowing you to filter articles, by topic, catagory, date and even by author, however you want.
  • Email subscription is available on the new site as it is here.
  • You can now subscribe to a RSS feed to a specific author, so you know when your favourite author has posted something new.
  • You can now translate the new site into 11 different languages!
  • All new search feature native to the site
  • Shout out box for new users, letting you instantly shout out to other readers on the front page
  • Private message other members and authors, yep you can write a private message to any other member of the site straight from the site. (beta)
I'm sure there is other things I have missed, but that is just some of what is coming shortly. Best of all it is all free and controlled by you, hopefully we can make it into a buzzing community. Watch this space in the next day or so.

Happy trading!
